Two decades of original programming, branded content, and cinematic storytelling — from concept through final delivery.
I started producing video content in 2004, years before YouTube existed and long before anyone called it a content strategy. Two decades of doing this has taught me one thing above everything else: the only metric that matters is whether people actually watch and engage.
I grew up on the California coast. I love to travel. I surf. I love sports.
What I've been lucky to build over twenty years is fluency on both sides of the work: the creative leadership that shapes a vision, and the production experience to see it through.
I define the creative vision, build the brand voice, and make sure every frame earns its place. Strategy and creativity are not separate things.
I build original series, not one-offs. From first concept to Season 3, I develop original franchises that build audiences over time and create lasting brand equity.
I understand the full video ecosystem, from production through distribution and content marketing. I have led social content creation and production across platforms.
I have built creative teams from nothing and managed global brand partnerships from pitch to delivery. I know what a high-performing creative culture looks like.
Maps to Nowhere is a Surfline original series built in partnership with O'Neill. Each episode follows O'Neill athletes chasing swells to remote, mysterious locations around the world. You never find out where they went. That mystery is the whole point.
Only Surfline had the forecasting expertise to consistently find waves of that caliber, and only this platform had the audience to deliver them at scale. Three seasons in, the series exceeded every metric without a single dollar in paid media. Stab Magazine called it one of the best properties in surfing.
"Whatever you do Surfline... keep supporting this. I want 10 more seasons please."
"This one stands out as one of the best surf films I've ever seen! Been loving this series."
Every surfer has a handful of waves they dream about. But few understand exactly why those waves break the way they do. Mechanics was built to answer that question on camera. Using Surfline's forecasting data, satellite imagery, and local surf knowledge, each episode breaks down how the world's most iconic waves tick.
We rebuilt an existing editorial format from scratch: a Surfline forecaster, a respected local surfer, animated data overlays, and scripted narration. Released to align with live swell events, each episode is both timely and evergreen.
"I'm a high school marine science teacher. This will now be part of my curriculum. Great short film. Entertaining and informative. Thank you!"

Over two decades building content for some of the world's most culturally relevant brands — from global action sports companies to independent surf media and tourism boards. Each partnership built on creative trust, measurable results, and work that both sides are proud of.
